Sales Director – Microsoft Sales Specialist

Job Title: Sales Director – Microsoft Sales Specialist

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Microsoft Specialist will come to ISI with a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with Microsoft and their partners as it relates to Unified Communications and Collaboration, mainly Skype for Business. This person will develop and manage our Microsoft Practice and lead ISI’s Sales and Business Development activities with Microsoft, one of our key manufacturer partners. Critical to the success of this position is an intimate knowledge of the inner-workings of Microsoft and their partner network, specifically as it relates to Microsoft Lync Server/Skype for Business (Skype4B). The optimal candidate should have significant experience working with/for Microsoft and/or their partners/integrators, and be able to leverage contacts both at Microsoft and with their partners to expand ISI’s presence and business. This experience should include, but not be limited to, selling products/services/solutions to Microsoft, Microsoft customers and/or Microsoft partners. This person will assist ISI in setting our strategy with Microsoft, establishing revenue targets for Microsoft-related sales and with providing information back to our Sales, Product Development and Engineering Teams, in order to help us steer a better course with this manufacturer. This position will carry a quota and commission program related to their own sales, whether Microsoft-related or otherwise, as well as a target for overall ISI revenue from Microsoft-related sales. This person will also support the other ISI Sales Directors in their efforts to sell Microsoft-related products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the effort to develop an overall Sales & Marketing Plan for Microsof
  2. Establish revenue targets for Microsoft-related products and services (personal goals as well as corporate-wide targets)
  3. Educate ISI Management, Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Engineering about Microsoft and how ISI’s products and services can be best positioned for maximum growth
  4. Leverage existing contacts within Microsoft and their partners, as well as establish new contacts, with the goal of increasing ISI’s revenues
  5. Onboard new Microsoft resellers to carry/sell ISI products and services
  6. Maintain current research on Microsoft’s business plan and Unified Communications-related products and provide analysis on how it impacts ISI (e.g., Event Zero, Nectar)
  7. Conduct regular training classes for ISI Sales Directors on Microsoft-related topics
  8. Attend Microsoft trade shows and conferences
  9. Develop a reputation within the industry with the goal of positioning ISI as the leader in Unified Communications Management solutions for Skype4B (through blogs, social media, webinars, presentations)
  10. Achieve stated Sales Targets and Quotas through personal sales to both direct and reseller customers
  11. Manage Strategic Reseller relationships, where assigned, and work with Chris Welch (Channel Sales Manager) and the Sales Directors to assist them with expanding opportunities within their assigned Microsoft resellers
  12. Manage existing or targeted Enterprise Customer Accounts with the goal of securing and/or expanding ISI revenues

Education and Minimum Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required
  2. At least 5 years of sales and business development experience related to Microsoft and/or their channel partners
  3. Exhibit past success in a similar sales/business development role
  4. Experience with Microsoft Lync Server/Skype4B is required
  5. Must possess strong communications skills and be able to deliver training classes/webinars
  6. Must have a proven track record of success in meeting/exceeding sales quotas and targets

Compensation and Benefits

Will be commensurate with experience and will include a combination of Base Salary, Commissions for personal sales, and Override Commissions related to the overall performance of our Microsoft channel
