Controlling network communications costs has become increasingly difficult in the face of sophisticated technologies, vendor support problems, and a lack of resources and tools. With the surge of laptops, tablets, phones, apps, and software in the enterprise, there are more communication services and devices to manage within the network. Additionally, handling the multitude of changes occurring within the network of communication services is difficult. While the typical focus of a Telecom Audit is cost savings—a critical benefit for performing an audit—there are other equally important benefits that your organization will gain. Utilizing Audit and Optimization services can realize cost savings of as much as 35% plus a lot more.

ISI has chosen another charity to assist for our spring charitable giving and this time around we look toward Feed My Starving Children (fmsc.org) charities with which to associate. FMSC has the mission to feed God's starving children hungry in body and spirit. Like all volunteers, ISI employees will hand-pack meals for malnourished children to be sent by FMSC to partners around the world. FMSC partners with orphanages, schools, clinics, and feeding programs worldwide to end poverty. Over 70 countries have benefitted from FMSC’s charitable donations. Initiated by ISI’s TEM Director and Charitable Giving Committee member, Michelle Forney, worked with the charity and ISI employees to organize two days of volunteering which are both to take place in March 2016. ISI is happy to volunteer our manpower to support FMSC with their noble mission to end poverty and provide food to the world’s starving children. For more information, visit https://www.fmsc.org.

With the Chicago Auto Show (#CAS16) now rolling out of town, we want to share how our visit there illuminated for us the intersection between Unified Communications (UC) and the automotive industry. ISI visited CAS16, the largest show in North America displaying the newest in automotive design, and discovered that manufacturers are making it easier than ever to conduct business from your vehicle. We also realized that for dealerships, the ability to direct call traffic where it needs to go to facilitate sales and service, calls for a robust communications platform. As the Internet of Things (IoT) takes hold and technology expands, the intersection between automotive and UC will be found at the automobile level as well as the dealership level.
