Chicago was the site of Microsoft’s inaugural Ignite conference that ran May 4th through May 8th, and hosted over 22,000 IT and technology professionals. Ignite is an opportunity for Microsoft to share updates, improvements and new releases developed around Exchange 2016, SharePoint 2016, and of course most integral to ISI, Skype for Business Server 2015. The attendees were welcomed to sessions that ranged from introductory level to deep dive status and were lead by experts in their respective fields.
ISI exhibited and met with partners, clients and potential customers to demonstrate our Unified Communications suite of solutions for the newly rebranded Lync, or Skype for Business. Microsoft revealed that over two million users have downloaded and activated the new Skype for Business client and ISI’s team was on hand to engage in detailed discussions on the myriad ways ISI’s collaboration recording and reporting suite works in concert with Skype for Business.
ISI’s solutions enhance security, compliance, productivity, while also providing network traffic analytics when when deployed in a Skype for Business environment. Chris Welch, ISI’s Partner Manager attended Ignite and shares, “There is a lot of need and buzz in and around Compliance and Recording. The fact that we have a solution that provides a single interface to record on multiple modalities of Skype for Business is a very big plus. Customers need to be able to see how calls start, progress, and end across the various ways that users choose to communicate.”
ISI enterprise partner Verba used Ignite as an opportunity to release Verba 8, a comprehensive collaboration compliance solution for industries whose communication efforts are heavily regulated - such as finance, healthcare, and government. Verba 8 records and stores voice, IM, desktop screens, and video and contains compliance features that have been upgraded to work with all Cisco or Lync environments. This comprehensive recording foundation includes several new functions:
- Mobile optimized web application
- Manual and automatic labeling
- Recording notifications in emails
- Ethical wall
- Advanced Legal Hold
- Speech analytics-driven QM
- New contact center integrations
- Screen monitoring and focus-based recording
Their most significant announcement made by Verba at this event was the introduction of “Ethical Wall”, a full functioning recording technology that more than fulfills most stringent communication compliance issues for organizations. Ethical wall .
Ethical Wall prevents collaboration from happening where it absolutely cannot occur enforcing the compliance policies of your organization. In particular, Ethical Wall prevents security breaches before they happen using recording triggers that make sure what needs to be recorded is, and what is not, is blocked (such as credit card numbers). IM filtering and redaction also assist with compliance enforcement. With Ethical Wall, businesses in a regulated industry such as Finance will benefit from implementation of this feature can safeguard themselves from compliance breaches – whether intentional or accidental.
Other aspects of financial regulation, like dissemination of sensitive information, can be well controlled with alert functions. Audits will run smoothly and quickly through a user-friendly (and mobile-friendly) web app equipped with search and replay, which includes scalable full text IM search, phonetic search, and speech analytics. These powerful analytics can also be used as auditing takes place to create scorecards, for quality management; or for legal compliance, e.g., legal hold, to hold protected calls indefinitely in the system regardless of other retention policies in place.
Finally, in Verba 8, security is integrated throughout the recording client and includes: Encryption and Digital Signatures, Identity Management, Role Based Access Control, and Auditing, for complete user confidence.
