Adaptable Call Recording for Cisco Gateways

The market for call and video recording continues to increase. In order to meet this demand, products, vendors and solutions must be adaptable to industry changes. Because of this, new advances in compatibility make integrating call and video recording more feasible than ever before.

Verba Technologies has made great strides to improve the way their product works within multiple systems. One of the recent upgrades includes support for Cisco Gateway API recording. With this capability, it is now possible to record directly from the Cisco gateways.

This has major advantages for the Cisco Unified Communications community. With this implementation, there now exists a method to easily conduct central recording for Cisco Jabber. Since Jabber does not have native built-in bridge capabilities, the only technique for recording calls through Jabber was to rely on port spanning. This is no longer the case.

On top of that, the recent updates also include support for Cisco MediaSense, which is a centralized architecture to record, play, stream, and store all media. Previously, a user would be hard pressed to create recordings of media through MediaSense. But, with the update, it is now possible to tap into MediaSense’s architecture to record calls.
