As you get ready for Cisco Live, take a moment to familiarize yourself with some of the key speakers at the Cisco Empowered Women’s Network. Each speaker at this year’s event is ready to impart a wealth of knowledge. Start by familiarizing yourself with some of the speakers. 

Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, Cisco

Padmasree Warrior is charged with aligning technology development and corporate strategy to enable Cisco to anticipate, shape, and lead major market transitions. She helps direct technology and operational innovation across the company and oversees strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, the integration of new business models, the incubation of new technologies, and the cultivation of world-class technical talent.

Carlos Dominguez, SVP, Cisco Office of the Chairman of the Board and CEO

Carlos Dominguez is a technology evangelist. He has deep knowledge of current and emerging technology and trends, and is a passionate innovator. He challenges and motivates audiences worldwide with engaging, highly animated presentations full of deep insight into how adaptable cultures can create winning organizations.

Michael Koons, VP, Cisco Technology and Systems Engineering

Mike Koons is responsible for ensuring the Cisco Systems Engineering community is meeting the business needs of Cisco’s customers and partners. In this capacity, he focuses on the technology and business demands of this strategic community within Cisco. Mike is also responsible for the field engineering and technology strategy for all architectures within Cisco as it relates to the SE community. In these technology areas, Mike focuses on strategy, network architecture, product placement and engineering.

Shari Slate, Chief Inclusion and Collaboration Strategist, Americas Sales, Cisco

Shari Slate is responsible for making inclusion relevant in the revenue-generating arm of the business and using inclusion to create value for Cisco, its partners, and customers. Slate’s team also leads thought leadership focused on the tangible business value of inclusion and the links between inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.

Amy Lewis, Influence Marketing Manager, Cisco

Amy Lewis is a Community Evangelist disguised as an Influence Marketing Manager for Cisco. Host of Engineers Unplugged and Cisco Champions Radio, co-host of Geek Whisperers, and manager of Cisco Champions for Data Center, she uses old-school tools (whiteboards) and new-school platforms (social) to engage technology thought leaders from around the globe. A connector by disposition, Amy is likely to find you at an event and ask for your thoughts, on camera.

Leila Janah, Founder and CEO, Samasource

Janah is the Founder and CEO of Samasource, a non-profit social business that connects people living in poverty to microwork — computer-based tasks that build skills and generate life-changing income, now part of the broader field of impact sourcing. Samasource has moved 3,800 workers and their families over the poverty line in under five years and spun out a domestic program, SamaUSA, in 2013. It has received the Templeton Freedom Award, the Secretary’s Innovation Award from Hillary Clinton, and the Prix Netexplorateur from the French Senate.
