In time for the holidays, ISI has chosen two wonderful charities associated with our armed forces with which to align. Bringing joy to soldiers and children, ISIs Charitable Giving Committee is benefitting the Operation Care Package (OCP), and Toys for Tots charities, respectively. ISI employees have brought in generous donations of toys and games for both charities.

ISI began collecting donations at the end of October for Operation Care Package to support their mission, which is that no hero serving our country be forgotten. With that in mind, our committee had the idea to collect stamps, board games, and playing cards and customize them with greetings from ISI. Employees took turns attaching messages to the card games and sending well wishes to our soldiers. "Some of the soldiers don't receive anything in the mail, and they exist on little supplies," said Debbie Smothers, a founder of the nonprofit. "I don't think any of them should go without something from mail call."

ISI’s Human Resources Director, Jacqui Buchanan dropped off our employees’ donations at the Operation Care Package office for which they were very appreciative. They took her on a tour of their facility and Buchanan reports that they have a lot of different packing stations and work directly with 1600 service members as well as larger troops.

In addition to our games and assorted donations, ISI also took the time to create a custom DVD of our employees from Halloween, thanking the troops with personal messages from our team members and giving “thumbs up,” to the soldiers for their service. OCP loved our DVD and asked to make copies to send to a variety of troops.

ISI is happy to give to OCP with their friendly volunteers, very nice facility, and for a GREAT cause!!! For more information, visit
