How Prepared are you for the Cloud?
Cloud technology has pushed its way to the main stage. But, despite the increase in awareness, many businesses still struggle with road mapping a strategy to leverage this burgeoning technology. The focal point of cloud technology that has attracted new users is the ability to deliver data and applications to users anywhere, at anytime.
Unfortunately, everything following that tends to be an afterthought. With mobility edging out older forms of conducting business communications (e.g. deskphones), the cloud has increased its influence. Aside from lowering IT server costs and increasing productivity, the cloud also allows information to be delivered to any device. This is beyond beneficial.
As non-IT executives get wind of the cloud’s benefits, they are scampering for ways to measure ROI, and the actual proclivity of implementation. True, cloud based applications empower mobile employees. And in today’s increasingly mobile world, getting information to workers whenever and wherever they are is an important competitive advantage. But this doesn’t improve management over employees, devices or assigned licenses.
When it comes to cloud based communications, simply accepting the solution's feature set limits its true potential. Integrating methods for reporting on and recording communication interactions on mobile devices strengthens your ability to better manage employees and increase productivity.
The cloud, on its own, offers a tremendous opportunity for businesses to expand their operations. But not incorporating a solution to manage, analyze, and leverage their interactions limits this expansion.
Call reporting lets managers see how often calls are handled from a mobile device clients like Cisco Jabber and Microsoft Lync. This helps streamline licensing and cuts costs from unneeded hardware.
Call recording, on the other hand, lets managers archive interactions for quality assurance and coaching purposes. Whether you have taken your business to the cloud or not doesn’t dismiss the need for a call reporting or recording solution.
