Alarm Management

Q. Why don't I receive any event/alarm mnemonics in the Alarm Notification window?
A. Be sure that Option package 315 has been loaded on the PBX. Then check to see that the PBX is programmed to forward the events to the IP Address of the OTM Server or Client PC. This is processed in Overlay 117 with the open alarm command. Use the following command.

>PRT OPEN_ALARM

If the "No defined destinations for Open Alarms" message is returned, or the IP Address of the OTM Server or Client does not appear in the list, use the following command in Load 117.

>SET OPEN_ALARM x yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy where x equals the next available slot number, and y equals the IP Address of the receiving OTM PC. There are eight slots available starting with zero.
