About Infortel Lodging Analyst
Infortel Lodging Analyst is a new service created for the Lodging
and Hospitality market. According to Mitchell Weiss, Product Manager
of ISI, Inc, "telephone charges previously represented a significant
revenue stream for the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, this
revenue stream is constantly reduced due to wireless phone usage,
Internet usage, and competitive pressures. Infortel Lodging Analyst
provides properties, chains, and management companies with the ability
to increase their revenues by providing relevant management information
of phone charges."
Infortel Lodging Analyst provides in-depth management reports,
based on traditional call accounting data, in two ways.
On a monthly basis, a property's telecom manager can access the
Infortel Lodging Analyst website. There, a series of reports, warnings
and alerts are available, providing an administrator insight into
both the usage of their phone system and a ranking of the property's
performance in terms of revenues per occupied room and revenue per
available room. By using these two metrics, properties can be compared
regardless of their differing size or occupancy rates. With Infortel
Lodging Analyst, managers can spot underperforming properties and
take immediate corrective action.
On a quarterly basis, ISI's experienced telecom analysts review
the monthly reports and prepare a written summary outlining the
problem areas of the property, and provide recommendations on how
to eliminate the problems. They also will provide additional suggestions
and tips, and a one-on-one conference call with the administrator
to discuss the findings in detail.
What Infortel Lodging Analyst is specifically designed for is to
distill mountains of call detail records down into usable data that
pinpoints trends (drops in telephone revenues), detects administrative
abuse (is an employee making international calls in the middle of
the night?), and optimizes the phone system (are there sufficient
trunks or gateways to meet traffic?).
For administrators who manage multiple properties, Infortel Lodging
Analyst provides a series of multi-property reports that analyze
and rank property performance. For example, why is the Chicago property
generating $3.00 per occupied room, while the Tulsa property generates
only $1.25 per occupied room? Spotting such revenue shortfalls and
analyzing the cause can immediately increase a property's profitability.
