New Release: Infortel for Windows Version 4.0 |
New Features
Multi-user Option lets companies create and schedule call
accounting reports from multiple desktops within the organization.
Sophisticated Security ensures that your call accounting
data is secure. Set up users so that they can only view data for
their extensions or departments.
Professional Services Package IFW-PSP is a telemanagement
system designed specifically for professional service firms such
as law firms, accounting firms, architectural firms, advertising
agencies and contract engineers. The common thread in all these
customers is the desire to bill-back telephone calls to clients.
IFW-PSP consists of two major components: the IFW server
and the call editing Client Software. The IFW Server is responsible
for collecting call records from the PBX, calculating the price
for the calls and storing them in the database. The database is
located on any Novell or Windows NT server. The call editing client
software provides end-users throughout the firm with a 32-bit Windows
95/98/NT client designed specifically to make the process of editing
calls a breeze.
Enhanced SDN translation is now available in Infortel for Windows.
Some companies have established software-defined networks between
their various locations. An employee in Chicago can call another
employee in New York City by dialing abbreviated digits, such as
36666 instead of 212-333-6666. Infortel for Windows' enhanced rating
engine can assign a particular rating to this call and either store
and report on the abbreviated digits (36666) or report on the "translated"
digits (212-333-6666). An added feature is the ability to define
the call type for these calls for summary report tallying.
An Enhanced Rating Engine that offers tremendous flexibility
in defining costing methodologies to the Call Accounting Module
is an important new feature of IFW 4.0. Of significant interest
is the availability of up to four billing classes, which allows
different cost parameters to be defined to particular station numbers,
authorization codes or account/matter codes. The enhanced rating
engine also has full support for postalized rates.
Enhanced Rate Table Support is another key feature of
version 4.0. Infortel for Windows now supports more than 100 long
distance tariffs from vendors such as AT&T, MCI/Worldcom, Sprint,
Qwest, Cable & Wireless and others.
Support for Primary Interexchange Carrier Billing (Equal Access)
Specific rating can be defined for calls made over long distance
carriers other than the customer's dial-one carrier. For example,
if MCI is the long distance carrier and 1010288 is dialed before
the actual long distance number, the telephone call is carried over
AT&T's network. AT&T will charge the customer for the call
on the MCI bill at a higher rate, naturally. Infortel for Windows's
rating functionality allows definition of these interexchange carrier
numbers with a specific billing method.
Enhanced operator-assisted structures An operator-assisted rate
structure can be assigned to call types. This structure is also
user-defined based upon percentage modification to the rate table.
This is ideal for shared tenant applications and further complements
the flexibility of assigning a rating method per billing class.
