ISI's Quality Management System Now Certified
to New ISO9001:2000 Standard |
SCHAUMBURG, Illinois - ISI, Inc., one of the nation's leading telemanagement
firms, is now one of the only in that field to have its Quality
Management System certified to the new ISO9001:2000 Standard. Following
a very successful audit performed in October 2003, the registration
firm DNV recommended ISI's Quality Management System be certified
to the new standard.
Being ISO9001 certified is nothing new to ISI. Originally certified
to the previous ISO Quality Standard in January of 1999, ISI's quality
system has continually improved to meet the demands in the marketplace.
By taking a closer look at its processes, ISI found that it already
met much of the requirements of the new standard prior to the transition
effort even beginning.
The revised ISO 9001:2000 places much more emphasis on customer
satisfaction, an area that has always set ISI apart from its competitors
in the telemanagement field. The new standard focuses on customer
requirements, defining and meeting customer expectations, and customer
communications. Through the analysis of customer feedback ISI continues
to improve its internal processes and products. That continual improvement
element is also one of the new ISO9001:2000 requirements.
A majority of ISI's processes take place out of sight of the customer.
Through controlling processes covering Purchasing, Human Resources,
Product Development, Service, Product Assembly, Shipping and other
processes, the Quality Management System provides oversight and
guidance in day-to-day operations of ISI. By maintaining an active
vigilance on the internal processes, ISI continues to improve what
it provides to its customers. |
