Regional Sales Director

ISI Telemanagement Solutions, Inc., a full-service telecom solutions company located in Schaumburg, Illinois, is currently in search of a Regional Sales Director to add to our team. We offer software and telecom services that help our clients manage their costs, improve their productivity, and increase their revenue. More than 8,500 clients count on us to supply the solutions that will help gain control of their telecommunications systems and to offer exceptional customer service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the pursuit of successful and profitable sales of the company's products and services. These sales shall be conducted either directly with the end-user customer or through dealers and partners and are per the company's Commission Plan. The Regional Sales Director will manage an assigned sales territory, have responsibility for all activities required to successfully close business deals, and achieve and/or exceed all sales quotas.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Lead generation, prospecting, cold calling, networking, dealer support, Internet lead follow-ups, trade show attendance, and/or marketing referrals. Maintaining a sales database of leads, prospects and customers as well as an accurate record of calls, contacts, communications, and activities performed in selling cycles. Develop reports, forecasts, and sales presentations for management as required.
  2. Probe, uncover, evaluate, and quality business opportunities. Directly responsible for determining how well business opportunities mesh with the company's products and service offerings. Responsible for determining the technical, marketing and sales resources needed in closing, maintaining and repeating sales opportunities.
  3. Develop account plans, strategies, positioning, tactics, strengths/weaknesses, and advantages/disadvantages for major sales.
  4. Responsible for all customer, dealer and partner contact and relationship-building activities. Developing agendas, scheduling teleconferences, securing appointments, attending business meetings and conducting sales calls that progress the sales cycle.
  5. Overcoming technical and business objections, providing quotes and proposals that offer a clear, positive and attractive value to customers, and negotiating terms and conditions of contracts and distribution agreements that are acceptable to both the customer and the company.
  6. Maintain current product and service knowledge levels and a thorough understanding of competition and competitive offers by participating in continual internal and external training and development opportunities.
  7. Develop business opportunities, activities and functions with a focus on supporting active dealers and high-profile partners.
  8. Develop vertical expertise, vertical industry contacts, understand vertical industry trends and general industry market conditions and trends.
  9. Review, evaluate and assess successful and unsuccessful sales. Provide feedback from customers, prospects and related industry experts to marketing, product development, and technical support.
  10. Conduct activities and adhere to the highest moral, ethical and professional standards at all times.

Education and Minimum Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in business, science or other related discipline with 7-10 years of documented success selling Telephony/Data solutions, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skill Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of documented success selling Telephony/Data solutions with a major manufacturer as a channel manager (Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Siemens, AT&T, Verizon, IBM)
  • Experience in developing a Global, National or Regional channel sales program
  • Vertical Market experience (Healthcare, Retail, Professional Services, Financial)
  • Ability to provide a personal database of dealer contacts as potential prospects and referral sources for the company's products and service offerings
  • Thorough understanding of a converged environment, VOIP, and Video and Data network topography
  • Involvement in continuous personal education programs focused on professional development and in professional business and industry associations and trade groups as networking opportunities
