Consultant - Professional Services

ISI Telemanagement Solutions, Inc. (ISI), a market-leading Telemanagement Software, Services and Consulting organization is currently seeking Business Development independent contractors, firms and individuals, with at least five years experience consulting with professional service or health provider organizations. ISI offers CDR - Call Detail Reporting and TEM - Telecom Expense Management - software and consulting services that help our customers manage their costs, improve productivity and increase revenue.

Job Title:Consultant - Professional Services
Department:Sales/Marketing
Exemption Status:Commission-Based (Independent Contractor)
Reports To:Director of Professional Services Consulting Group

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Consultant-Professional Services will be responsible for the lead generation process, including opportunity identification, qualification, competitive assessments, and proposal preparation, working closely with our marketing and sales support personnel. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of the business development process as well as strong Professional Services industry knowledge. Understanding the technology employed by professional firms would be preferred, but is not mandatory.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Develop sales leads and create opportunities for ISI to increase revenues in the Professional Services (e.g., Legal, Accounting, Consulting) industry
  2. Attend Professional Services Telecom training sessions to establish a solid industry and ISI product background
  3. Complete Sarbanes-Oxley training and achieve certification
  4. Participate in monthly Professional Services Vertical Team meetings
  5. Join National Professional Services organizations (e.g., The American Bar Association, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Association of Professional Consultants) and increase ISI's participation and presence within these organizations
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on trends in the Professional Services industry by subscribing to trade publications (e.g., ABA Journal, National Public Accountant) and participating in Professional Services Social Networking web sites
  7. Attend conferences and trade shows for Professional Services
  8. Establish speaking opportunities for ISI at conferences and trade shows
  9. Develop webinars for ISI to deliver to potential customers and partners in Professional Services
  10. Work with ISI Marketing to develop campaigns to Professional Services prospects
  11. Generate meetings with Partners/CEOs/CFOs/CIOs in Professional Services and discuss issues pertinent to their organizations, identifying areas where ISI can assist
  12. Cultivate relationships with the ISI Dealer community, identify those dealers who have dedicated Professional Services practices and develop co-marketing and sales programs with them
  13. Provide industry knowledge/feedback to ISI Marketing and assist with collateral and program development specific to Professional Services.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business, science or other related discipline (Master's degree and/or industry-specific certifications or degree a plus) along with a minimum of 5 years of business development experience within a Professional Services environment (Accounting, Legal, etc), or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in competitive lead generation/strategy development and corporate teaming/proposal development experience is essential. Prior experience within the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical, along with computer literacy, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and/or similar tools. Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills necessary, along with strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
