Summary of Responsibilities:
The Channel Development Manager will manage business development aspects of ISI Telemanagement Solutions, Inc. large channel partnerships, with a primary focus on partner growth and training. The role will act as the liaison between ISI and its Channel Partners and will balance sales support, partner management, and partner training with the focus of growing the sales funnel for our Channel Partners. The Channel Development Manager will ensure that all key partners are fully engaged and actively promoting ISI services to end users in order to provide growth through the channel, to be accomplished by collaborating with sales and marketing teams to define the right mix of marketing strategies and execute tactics needed to acquire new prospects and to move them through the sales cycle.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and be the main point of contact for channel partners.
- Create product awareness for ISI with channel partner sales and engineering teams.
- Aggressively drive partners to maximize sales and total partnership potential through channel management best practices, training and support.
- Manage sales orders and provide status to partners and/or manager.
- Communicate with partners on new products and service offerings.
- Continually train and learn about new products and improving skills.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
- Define and execute partner training plans.
- Educate channel partners on company products and services, processes, procedures, and rules of engagement, etc.
Education and Minimum Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and professional experience required.
Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of documented channel management experience and sales success in a reseller or channel sales environment in a technology field
- Experience managing a sell-through environment with Cisco, Avaya and/or other manufacturers of IP telephony solutions will be a plus
- Vertical Market experience (Healthcare, Retail, Professional Services, Financial) also a plus
- Ability to provide a personal database of partner/reseller contacts as potential prospects and referral sources for the company's products and service offerings
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with business owners, sales and operations management and sales executives in key reseller locations
- Thorough understanding of a converged communications environment, including VoIP, video and data networking
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as required
